Studio Soto is pleased to announce a mid-summer’s night of progressive art and music. Rad New Living Art will showcase live performances by three of the best up-and-coming bands in Boston: Radka, The New You, and The Living Sea, as well as video projections by artists Myk Egan and Spencer James.

Radka is a North Shore quartet known for their energetic live shows and dancy, melodic beats. They have an EP due out this fall. Art-noise band The New You shift from mellow, synth-heavy slo-core to punk-inflected moments of pure rock. For this special performance they are presenting a cross-genre collaboration with installation/video artist Myk Egan, a recent grad of the School of Visual Art’s MFA program. Artist-extraordinaire and Slop Pop guru Spencer James will also provide video projections. Rounding out this excellent evening are Lunch records quartet The Living Sea, who play surging guitar-based rock topped off with haunting, not-too-angsty vocals. Their “kinetic” (Boston Globe) live sets have impressed critics, audiences, and bands everywhere they’ve been.
